Fallout 3 is in development by the same company that created The Elder Scrolls Series (Bethesdea software).  Fallout 3 has been development since 2004, it will be available for the PC, XBox 360 and Playstation 3 in the Fall of 2008.  

Fallout 3 will take place in 2277, 200 years after the bombs fell and 30 years after Fallout 2 took place. Fallout 3 will not pick up where Fallout 2 left off, but it will build on story and lore of the environment.

 Watching the movies and the in game play it looks amazing.
